JOB INFORMATION
- Location: Vientiane, Laos
- Duration: 3 to 6 months.
- Stipend: USD $200–$300 per month (inclusive of tax).
- Travel: Travel expenses to project sites are covered by EMW once approved.
- Confidentiality: Interns must keep all unpublished information confidential and cannot publish documents based on such information.
- Working Hours: Normal working hours; leave must be pre-approved.
- Learning Outcomes: Intern managers will review learning outcomes with the intern before completion of the internship.
- Certificate: Available upon successful completion, upon request.
- Deadline: 25 September 2024.
OFFICE ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with daily administrative functions, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, processing expense reports, and handling correspondence.
- Manage office supplies, equipment, and general office resources.
- Support financial reporting tasks, including copying, scanning, and filing documents.
- Help in organizing and executing workshops, meetings, and training sessions (venue arrangements, participant coordination, and materials preparation).
- Coordinate travel logistics for team members and stakeholders (transportation, accommodations, itineraries).
- Maintain and organize project documents, meeting minutes, and reports systematically.
- Assist with official communication, follow-up on letters and invitations.
- Support the preparation of agendas, budgets, receipt collection, and advance settlements.
M&E ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow up, review, and clean raw data for the database.
- Provide monthly reports on indicators for management analysis.
- Verify reports by comparing with the database and previous records.
- Assist in enhancing the monitoring and reporting structure and guidelines.
- Support implementation teams in documenting lessons learned and ensuring they are stored properly.
- Assist in conducting monitoring trips, verification activities, and periodic project implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental management/engineering, economics, international relations, sustainable development, agriculture, forestry, geography, or related fields.
- Relevant experience/education in international development or a field related to EMW’s work.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT) and statistical software (e.g. mWater, KoBo Toolbox, or other data collection/analysis tools).
- Strong command of spoken and written English and Lao.
