Nature of the internship: A six-month internship to support the Emergency Response team, Programming, Project Development and Implementation unit in Ha Noi office to implement grant-funded projectsto support populations affected by typhoon Yagi and its aftermaths. The project activities include provision of essential non-food items, cashbased interventions, rehabilitation of evacuation centres, and awareness raising communications, etc. The intern will receive a monthly subsistence allowance (ranging from 415 to 550$ per month – depending on qualifications) and be covered against occupational accident and illness.

Tasks to be performed under this internship:
- Assist the team in implementing project activities.
- Translate project documents between English and Vietnamese and interpret during meetings (non-professional)
- Support with data collection, entry and analysis, contributing to the projects’ monitoring and evaluation as well as evidence-based programming of IOM Viet Nam.
- Support in taking notes, drafting summary, and preparing documents including presentations and talking points, contributing to organization of meetings, events, and activities.
- Travel to provinces to support distribution events and post-distribution monitoring.
- Provide event coordination, communications and administrative support as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
This role requires an energetic, dedicated and detail-oriented person who can manage multiple tasks. This individual is a team-player with willingness to learn and ability to manage multiple tasks while adapting to shifting priorities. This role may require travel to remote locations for project implementation.
- Graduate degree from a recognized institution. Majoring in Social Sciences, Foreign languages, Communication, Data Science, or related fields is preferred.
- Having working experience in clerical, project support, or administrative work
- Excellent office applications user (Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, Zoom, among others).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel to provinces, including remote communities.
- Knowledge of humanitarian and development issues is desirable
Languages:
- Fluency in English and Vietnamese, both oral and written is required.
