The Mission works with the national and local authorities, civil society and the media in order to build media professionalism. In 2019, the Mission conducted a comprehensive needs assessment on an institutionalized journalism training in Montenegro. The Assessment provided an overview of short-term and long-term measures for improving practise-oriented, inclusive and well-structured journalism education in Montenegro. In this context, the Mission will engage an international consultant to prepare a comparative analysis of media and journalism research and training institutions in countries other than Montenegro. The Media Programme therefore invites applications from highly qualified, energetic and experienced international professionals for the temporary consultancy post of International Consultant for Comparative Analysis, who would be tasked to deliver comparative analysis of media and journalism research and training institutions in the countries other than Montenegro (e.g. in the EU).
