International Consultant to edit and proofread the UNCRC Supplementary Report (2012-2017)

1. Background We, the Chairpersons of Child Rights Working Group (CRWG), plan to submit this Report to the UNCRC Committee by February 2020, before pre-session for Vietnam Government’s Report scheduled June 2020 and the official session held in January 2021. The UNCRC Suplementary Report was finalized and translated into English. In this regard, our Report in English needs to be edited and proofread by an International Consultant. 2. Tasks - Review, rewrite, and edit to improve the language used in line with international standards. - Read copy or proofread to detect and correct errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, usage, consistency and syntax; mark the copy with standard proofreading marks to notify VACR of necessary changes. - Re-word sentences or whole sections of text as needed. - The editing process will include a revision of current tables, images and figures to achieve an optimal flow of information and presentation of the findings. - Read materials to determine index items and arrange them alphabetically or topically, indicating page, table of content or chapter location. Note: No new information, new amendments, new adjustments or new comments and recommendations are to be added. 3. Outcome - 01 CRC Suplementary Report (English version) is edited and proofread. 4. Timeline - From 10th February to 13th February 2020 5. Qualifications - Experience in communication and report writing in English. - Experience of editing and proofreading technical documents. - Experience in programming and/or reporting on children’s rights. 6. Professional fee and expenses 8.000.000 VND/day. Maximum 3 days 7.
