Junior Program Assistant
Based in Hanoi with travel to other provinces
(one year employment contract with extension based on the performance)
SNV Netherlands Development Organisation (SNV) is a non-profit, international development organization founded 57 years ago, and now operating in 24 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. SNV has been working in Vietnam since 1995, and currently has over 30 national and international staff. SNV Vietnam operates from a head office in Hanoi and projects in over 50 provinces in the country, including in the poorest and most remote areas.
Responsibilities
Under the leadership of the Project Manager, the incumbent will provide the following roles and support to entire implementation of the project.
Project assistance and project team support (70%)
- Assist in printing reports, creation of databases
- Translate project texts and correspondence in Vietnamese and English
- Organise meetings and events in Vietnam as requested, including booking venues and equipment, arranging transport and hotel accommodation, inviting participants, copying and distributing materials as needed
- Logistical arrangements for the team of experts and management of their agendas including missions planning and follow-up
- Others tasks
Office management and support (30%)
- Office management tasks to ensure proper functioning of the office
- Ensuring the proper office equipment is in place and functions correctly
- Ensuring the needed stationary is available
- Timely response to email and telephone calls
- Manage and file correspondence
Candidate profile
- University degree
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience at international organisation(s)
- Understanding and experience in EU project is preferable
- Working experience in energy sector is an advantage
- Initiative and creative in solving problems
- Ability to work independently and with the team with multi-tasking and “can-do” attitude
- Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills
- Good oral and written communication skills (English and Vietnamese)
- Good computer skills in MS-applications (Word, Excel, Internet, Email)
- Willing to travel to other provinces.
Contract Duration: SNV Vietnam offers one year employment contract with possible extension up to 4,8 other years on performance-based.
Desired start date: ASAP
