Local contracted staff for “grassroots grant program”


The Japanese Embassy in Vietnam announces the recruitment of a contracted employee to carry out some of the Embassy's work related to the "grassroots grant program".  
  1. Job description
Term contract staff will perform work related to the establishment, implementation, and monitoring of the project of the "grassroots grant program" in Vietnam under the direction of Japanese diplomats. This is a contract based position with a maximum of 3 year extension The specific job content is as follows. (1) Conduct field survey at project site (2) Coordinate to organize the signing ceremony of aid contracts and other ceremonies  (3) Manage term reports of aid recipients, etc.  (4) Manage, monitor and supervise the project implementation situation  (5) Communicate and work with the recipient and implementing agency  
  1. Benefit
(1) Salary: According to the Embassy's regulations (2) Workplace: Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, 27 Lieu Giai Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi (3) Duration of employment contract: From 1/4/2020 to March 31, 2021
  • Depending on work achievements and personal desires, the working time may be extended for a maximum of 3 years
 
  1. Requirements (1)Language: Highly proficient in English. Priority goes to candidates who know Japanese.
(2) Educational attainment : College graduate or higher  (3) Other requirements  - Healthy both physically and mentally  - Has knowledge and interest in development cooperation and economic cooperation. Priority goes to candidates who have had experience working in development field for 2 years or more  - Ability to use basic Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint.v.v.)  - Ablity to go on frequent business trips

  1. Admission procedure
After reviewing the applications, the Embassy will interview the candidate that has passed this round. * The embassy will not contact candidates who fail the screening. For candidates who do not pass the interview, the Embassy will send a notification by e-mail. Otherwise, the Embassy does not response to any inquiries regarding the recruitment process or the admission results etc.

(1) This signed contract is not a labor contract, it is a definite term contract to perform the Embassy's specific duties. Therefore, employees are not entitled to the preferential treatment of ordinary labor contracts. The employees need to be cover insurance themselves.
