SNV is in consortium with Santec as lead, CEERD and DEM has been awarded the EU - Viet Nam Sustainable Energy Transition Facility. This facility is in the framework of EU budget support action with the Government of Viet Nam focused on Energy and Climate topics (SDG7 and SDG13). The Facility of up to EUR 8 million implemented in 70 months will provide, on a demand-driven basis, expertise and capacity development in areas such as technology and knowledge transfer through cooperation on areas like research, higher education and R&D for renewable energy and energy efficiency, renewable energy and energy efficiency policy, legal and regulatory frameworks, norms and technical standards, power market analyses, energy governance, energy information systems, energy budgeting and planning. The Facility will contribute to the achievement of Vietnam Sustainable Energy Transition Program (SETP) objectives of (i) improved energy efficiency; (ii) a larger share of renewable energy in the energy mix; and (iii) improved performance of the Viet Nam Energy Information System. The Facility will lead the Policy Dialogue component of the action, taking over the Vietnam Energy Partnership Group.  Moreover, the Facility will provide capacity development, providing demand-driven technical assistance, supporting the Vietnam energy information system. We are seeking for highly qualified candidate for the post Project Assistant (Junior level) to support the implementation of SETP.

Job Description

Project assistance and project team support (70%)
  • Assist in printing reports, creation of databases
  • Translate project texts and correspondence in Vietnamese and English
  • Organise meetings and events in Vietnam as requested, including booking venues and equipment, arranging transport and hotel accommodation, inviting participants, copying and distributing materials as needed
  • Logistical arrangements for the team of experts and management of their agendas including missions planning and follow-up
  • Others tasks
Office management and support (30%)
  • Office management tasks to ensure proper functioning of the office
  • Ensuring the proper office equipment is in place and functions correctly
  • Ensuring the needed stationary is available
  • Timely response to email and telephone calls
  • Manage and file correspondence

Qualifications

  • University degree
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience at international organisation(s)
  • Understanding and experience in EU project is preferable
  • Working experience in energy sector is an advantage
  • Initiative and creative in solving problems
  • Ability to work independently and with the team with multi-tasking and “can-do” attitude
  • Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills (English and Vietnamese)
  • Good computer skills in MS-applications (Word, Excel, Internet, Email)
  • Willing to travel to other provinces.

Additional Information

This position is based in Hanoi

  • Type of Contract: employment contract
  • Contract Duration: 01 year with possible of extension up to 4,8 years based on the performance.
  • Start date: As soon as possible
