Job Description:
A great opportunity for an extraverted self-starter seeking a marketing or customer relations position, as well as exposure to a wide range of U.S., Vietnamese, and international business representatives. The Membership Services Assistant position is the first contact most members have with AmCham, and whom they turn to for information. A customer-oriented mindset, ability to work as part of a team, can-do attitude, and a genuine desire to promote AmCham and the U.S.-Vietnam trade and investment partnership is essential. This role will involve regular interactions with all members of the AmCham team, as well as AmCham members and their staff to help them renew and update their membership, as well as maximize membership benefits. This position will also support AmCham events, including our 2020 Governors Ball.
Starting: October 20, 2020
Duration: 4 months (might extend 3 more months; please only apply if you can commit with this duration)
Working Schedule: 40 hours/week (additional hours will be assigned for major events throughout the year, with overtime paid)
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Membership Manager in responding to members, partners, or stakeholders’ inquiries regarding membership applications and services, sponsorship for AmCham’s major events, or the AmCham Member Discount Partner program;
- Invite members to renew their membership, and follow up with them to finalize the renewal process;
- Help the Membership Manager to onboard new members, organize New Members Orientation Meetings, and prepare the monthly Membership Minute and Report;
- Check all application documents, including research to obtain more information about the new applicants if necessary;
- Maintain and update member’s and partners’ records accurately;
- Work with business partners on member benefits;
- Prepare marketing materials regarding membership services;
- Assist in the preparation, coordination, and execution of major events;
- Serve as AmCham receptionist; and
- Additional responsibilities as assigned/
Requirements:
- Customer-service mindset
- Strong communication skills in Vietnamese and English (verbal and non-verbal)
- Good time and task management skills
- Strong data management skills, detail-oriented - Integrity, team-work skills
- Microsoft Office efficiency
- Basic sales skills a plus
