on an HIV drug resistance study and STI survey
World Health Organization (WHO) Viet Nam Country Office has been supporting MOH in implementation of Viet Nam’s National Plan on HIV drug resistance (HIV DR). A consultant is required to carry-out data analysis to understand whether risks behaviours were related to HIVDR and the clinical outcomes of the patients acquired HIVDR after 12 months of treatment. The report from this study will be disseminated to inform national programme in strengthen national plan for HIVDR.
Data on STI at national level in Viet Nam is very limited because of national surveillance system for STI does not exist. In 2019, WHO supported National Hospital for Dermatology and Venerology (NHDV) in conducting a survey on sexual transmitted infections (STIs). The field data collection was conducted in 5 cities/provinces on major STIs including Syphilis, Neisseria gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Trichomonas and HPV. In addition, reports from other provinces were also received. The data collected was large, but availability and quality of the collected data were varying among hospitals. The consultant is required to conduct data analysis including compiling, cleaning and analysing the data. Report of the survey is also required to disseminate the survey findings for intervention actions.
