Our team includes scientists, health professionals, business leaders, engineers, advocates, and experts from dozens of other specialties. We work in more than 70 countries to transform bold ideas into sustainable solutions that improve health and well-being for all.
Our pioneering spirit lives on
Launched in 1977 by three intrepid researchers, PATH was a new kind of health organization: a nonprofit that would deliver the expertise, resources, and innovations of private industry to improve health for all.
The model we pioneered transformed the way the world thinks about health and development. And we’re still pioneering.
Today, we are harnessing the power of data and digital tools. Forging unexpected partnerships across borders and sectors. Defending against new disease threats and epidemics. Creating models to transform health care delivery. And fostering innovation in communities everywhere to bring good health—and the jobs and economic stability that come with it—within reach of more people faster.

Our strategy
Our strategy is bold, aspirational, and evolving with the world around us.
Refreshed in 2019, our strategy unifies PATH’s global team in pursuit of the ambitious, world-shaping goal laid out by the United Nations: By 2030, improve health outcomes for more than 1.4 billion people in low-resource settings by creating and advancing quality health solutions.
Contributing to this single, unified goal will help to align PATH’s various programs and initiatives to one another, while aligning our overall efforts with other peer organizations contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
