Program Intern (New Energy Nexus)

About the organization

New Energy Nexus (www.newenergynexus.com) is a smart energy startup support initiative. We support energy entrepreneurs throughout the region to create new innovative energy startups that will help to build Vietnam’s clean energy economy.

New Energy Nexus started in Southeast Asia in collaboration with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) to build an ecosystem of clean energy entrepreneurs working on solutions to address this regional energy growth and the climate change situation.

Roles and responsibilities

Events Organization and Program implementation:

Help the Vietnam team with logistical arrangement and planning, coordination before and during organized events as assigned
Attend internal and external meetings with team (if required) and write minutes of Meeting
Teamwork to brainstorm new ideas, contribute ideas for event planning & organizing and program developing (workshops, training courses, events...)
Help team with collecting data and producing necessary reports (to funders, sponsors) and marketing materials after events or program completion

Marketing and Communication:

Help team with the preparation and production of marketing products & social media content in English when required such as invitation, press release, newsletter, video, photo, website content
Do the translation & interpretation when and where needed
Help team with Marketing design for certain events or projects as assigned
Help team with Marketing content in English to successfully promote on-going events or projects
Contribute and take initiative to propose creative ideas to increase the effective communication on different communication channels owned by Nexus Vietnam

Others:

Research on any subject matter which is relevant to clean energy market and in respond to work demand
Undertake any other tasks as assigned by Program Manager

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Undergraduates are welcome to apply!
Passionate about energy startups and clean tech!
Entrepreneurial mindset and fast moving, highly self -disciplined to work in a global team with different locations and time zones
Professional fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with organizing events and implementing marketing, communication and social media activities
Design skills with the ability to use relevant software and tools
Highly creative person with the ability to come up with new ideas and concepts to design the program activities
Problem solving mindset
Be able to teamwork with with open mind and flexibility
Good research skill

The position will be full time and based in either Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. The internship program lasts ideally 6 months.
