Country Program Overview
Since 2012, GGGI has worked with the government of Viet Nam, in the planning and investment sectors with MPI, in urban green growth with the Ministry of Construction (MOC) and on renewable energy and energy efficiency with the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT). GGGI and MPI published the 2016-2020 Country Planning Framework (CPF) for Viet Nam, which confirms GGGI’s partnership with the government will focus in the urban, finance and energy sectors to enable Viet Nam to achieve its ambitious development goals in a green and inclusive way.
GGGI is working with the Vietnamese government in identifying challenges and opportunities to promote digital solutions to contribute to the Government of Vietnam’s green growth targets and its Industrialization 4.0 agenda. This collaboration aims to provide recommendations for policy incentives and support measures to incentivize the development and commercialization of green digital solutions as well as to support mobilizing investments for proven business models of these digital solutions.
We are looking for a program lead with international experience in supporting digital (green) start-ups and excellent networks and understanding of the start-up ecosystem to support Viet Nam in driving its digital transformation towards sustainable development. The Program Lead, under the guidance of the Country Representative, will lead and implement components of GGGI’s Country Program in Viet Nam. This postholder will be the driver of the digital transformation for green growth agenda in Viet Nam’s country program. He/she will work with the government to shape and implement its green growth policy, with a focus on digital solutions and contributing to a post-COVID 19 green economy.
