The Digital Transformation Center Vietnam supports our Vietnamese partners in shaping Digital Transfromation that is human-centered and sustainable.

Three focus areas are:

• Green Tech Entrepreneurship
• Industry 4.0 (digitalization of SMEs) and
• Technology

We are looking forthefollowingmotivated candidatesto join the Digital Transformation Center in our core areas of Green Tech Entrepreneurshipand Industry 4.0 (digitalization of SMEs):

Position Nr. 1: Program Officerfor Startup Market Access Dutystation:Hanoi, Vietnam Durationof Assignment:01.10.2022–30.11.2023

Our “Green Tech Hub” facilitates incubation, acceleration and startup market access (“Landing Pad” program) interventions.TheProgram Officerwill be involved in all activities of the Green Tech Hub with a focus on the “Landing Pad”.

Main responsibilities

• Strategy development concerning the activities and strategic positioning of the Green Tech activities, particularly the “Landing Pad” program for global green tech startups to facilitate market access to Vietnam
• Concept development of potential portfolio building and partnership management with other ecosystem stakeholders ranging from ministries to donors, the private sector, NGOs and otherinternational organizations/networks
• Implementing daily operational aspects of all issues related to the Digital Transformation Center
• Policy advice and organizational development for the primary partners of the project in the field of digitalization
• Settingupandmanagingstart-upsupportprograms(incubators,accelerators,marketaccess programs); including concept development, Terms of Reference development and contract procurement as well as management of consultants
• Establishing and promoting regional and German-Vietnamese tech entrepreneurship networks and exchanges

Minimum requirements

• Bachelors degree in political science, social science, business, ICT with a focus on digital transformation and innovation
• Specialization in digital transformationand a minimum of 5 years work experience in the start-up world
• 2 years of experience helping startups access different markets
• Good knowledge on current local and regional developments in the fields of innovation, tech and digitalization; especially knowledge and networks in the Indonesian ecosystem is a plus
• Proven experience with start-up incubation, acceleration and scaling and innovation management a must
• Proven experience in project management
• Good knowledge of the Vietnamese and regional Start-up ecosystem
• Managerial andorganizationalcompetence
• Willingness to travel (abroad and domestically) regularly
• Very good knowledge of Vietnamese and English, German and other languages (especially Bahasa) is a plus
• Experience with green tech startups(circular economy, energy, mobility, agriculture) is a plus
• Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed–corresponding measures are agreed with management

Position Nr.2: Junior Program OfficerforIndustry 4.0 Dutystation:Hanoi, Vietnam Durationof Assignment:01.10.2022–30.11.2023

• Implementing daily operational aspects of all issues related to the Industry 4.0 work
• Technical advice and organizational development for the clients (SMEs) of the project in the field of digitalization
• Setting up and managing SME digitalization support programs and policy exchange events (on Big Data, AI, blockchain, other emerging technologies)
• Establishing and promoting regional and German-Vietnamese digital SME networks, female business networks and exchange on emerging technologies with a focus on Big Data and AI

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in political science, business or computer science or equivalent with at least 1 year of experience working in the field technology and digital transformation
• First experience to work with digitaltransformation activities for businesses in Vietnam (overseasis a plus) such as proposing digital transformation strategies for enterprises, roadmap development, etc.
• First experience in communications and employee engagement linked to the adoption of oneor more of the following technologies or methods:
  • ERP
  • Cloud
  • Agile
  • DevOps
  • Automation, Intelligent workflows
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Dataand analytics
• First experience in developing strategies, setting up and executing transformation initiatives in one or more of the following areas: digital transformation, operational model change, IT transformation, end-to-end work-flow automation and operations.
• Knowledge on current local and regional developments in the fields of digital technologies, solutions, and digitalization, pros and cons of each solution;
• First experience managing external IT vendors;
• Good knowledge of the Vietnamese and stakeholders in the digital transformation landscape in Vietnam
• First experience to work with international donors is a plus
• First experience to work in key sectors such as metal, electronic, automotive, agri-processing, manufacturing, etc. is a plus
• Managerial and organisational competence
• Willingness to travel (abroad and domestically) regularly
