INTERNATIONAL NGO WOMEN EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM: PROGRAM ASSISTANT NEEDED!

Artistri Sud is currently looking for a capable, motivated, and energetic Program Assistant (PA) to support the preparations for their flagship Artistri Sud Social Entrepreneurship Training (ASSET) program in Hanoi, Vietnam being run from August 28 to September 3, and to collect data for program evaluation. This is a unique opportunity for the volunteer to think creatively about how he or she can contribute to the program’s success through their role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the direct supervision of the Country Director, Vietnam, the Program Assistant is responsible for (during July 2021, pending COVID-19 restrictions):

-Research and baseline data collection, including interviews with beneficiaries

-Interpretation (Vietnamese-English) for Country Director, as needed

-Liaising with partners and suppliers to build relationships, finalize contracts, etc.

-Logistics and other administrative tasks

The Program Assistant works approximately 10 hours/day on the ground.

REQUIREMENTS:

-Basic understanding of how to use a computer and software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

-Fluency in English AND Vietnamese. Fluency in the desired local language is an asset. Language proficiency will be tested during the interview.

-Availability for travel to Lao Cai and possibly other regions in northern Vietnam for 2-3 weeks in July—all travel, lodging, and food expenses are paid by Artistri Sud.

-Ability to manage multiple tasks; organized.

-High energy, personable, and a willingness to work long, rewarding hours.

-Self-starter with drive, problem-solving skills, and flexibility – things can change on the ground, and you may need to support decision-making on the fly!

-Team player. The PA is part of the training team!

REMUNERATION:

Note this is an unpaid internship.
