Project Assistant (full time)


Job Title: Project Assistant (full time) Location: Hanoi, Vietnam (with occasional travel) The Centre for Sustainable Development Studies (CSDS) is a Vietnamese non-governmental organisation, focusing on youth and community development as well as international volunteer exchange. Founded in 2009 and based in Hanoi, Vietnam, CSDS develops and implements programs in different areas of the country to contribute to the sustainable development of Vietnam. CSDS is currently looking for a new team member for its Youth Empowerment Program Team. Job Purpose: Provide assistance and work collaboratively and proactively with our team on specific project activities. Main tasks and responsibilities:
  • Assist the Team in the overall implementation of the project;
  • Assist the Team in coordinating the implementation of the project with the other partners such as NGOs and Youth Groups;
  • Assist the Team in monitoring the progress of the project;
  • Assist the Team in monitoring of the procurement of equipment needed for training;
  • Assist the Team in the preparation of the project completion report;
  • Organize and monitor schedules and ensure that deadlines are met;
  • Report updates verbally to management;
  • Help discern requirements and assign tasks to team member.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 1-year working experience in a relevant field is
  • mandatory;
  • NGO and youth work experience is preferable;
  • Experience in a non-formal education setting is desirable;
  • Experience in a cross-cultural environment is desirable.
  • University degree in social science, journalism, communications and/or development related studies.

  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office;

  • Ability to work under pressure at times and adhere to tight deadlines;
  • Ability to work independently as well as an integral part of a team.
