Project Manager – Nature-based Solutions CRxN Mekong Project (WWF)

We are looking for committed, result-driven candidate for the position of Project Manager – Nature-based Solutions CRxN Mekong Project, based in Ho Chi Minh/Ha Noi, Viet Nam Major Functions: The Project Manager, Nature-based Solutions CRxN Mekong Project, will be responsible for supporting and providing oversight to implementing country office teams in Viet Nam, Cambodia and Laos. The position will ensure the effective development, rollout, implementation, learning and communicating and reporting of the program. The position will be part of WWF’s regional Greater Mekong team, be based in Viet Nam and liaise closely with WWF-Australia who is the donor and manages the larger CRxN program of work. The position will also provide technical support and cross program learning on NbS related issues within the Asia Pacific program and engage in the CRxN Knowledge Hub. Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership on Nature-based Solutions approaches for the greater Mekong Office;
  • Lead planning processes for the program to ensure effective and timely delivery of project outcomes and reporting;
  • Lead development of policy related outcomes of the program and support country teams in developing and delivering policy recommendations;
  • Liaise with other NbS practitioners and projects in the region to develop a network of contacts and share lessons learnt, including engaging closely in the CRxN Learning Platform to disseminate lessons learned and best practice from the Mekong implementing offices;
  • Lead the technical reporting for the CRxN Mekong project to donors and internally within WWF GMPO;
  • Lead the delivery of the monitoring, evaluation and learning framework of the project, including aggregation of outcomes in each country for regional reporting and tracking of milestones;
  • Provide budgetary management of the Viet Nam country budget and provide oversight of other country budgets, including supporting financial reporting processes across the project;
  • Ensure the integration of Gender Equity, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) into the program and that safeguards relating to Indigenous People and Local Communities are followed, tracked and reported;
  • Represent WWF International Country Offices in relevant forums such as conferences, symposia, and relevant meetings and workshops to communicate and promote our work, as required.
Required Qualifications
  • University degree in environmental science, sustainability, water conservation or any climate change related field, a master degree preferred;
  • At least 5 years’ relevant and demonstrated professional experience in Project Management of projects >USD$1M; DFAT Australia project management experience highly regarded;
  • Good knowledge of nature-based solutions theory and application and freshwater conservation;
  • Experience as an effective manager working within a decentralized, multi-national network (or programme);
  • Experience in partnership relations management, fundraising and marketing;
  • Familiarity of working with governments, aid agencies, and NGOs.
