  • Job title: Public Relations (PR) Intern
  • Reports to: Regional Coordinator, Regional Assistant Manager
  • Working time: 4 hours/day (Flexibly register working hours within 8:30 – 17:00, Monday – Friday)
  • Effective Date: ASAP/Duration: 06 months
  • Location: East Asia RCO, Hanoi
  • Type of contract: Part-time/Short-term (with possibility of extension/official promotion)

Background

Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian development non-governmental organization founded in Korea in 1991 to make the world a place without hunger, where people live together in harmony. Currently, Good Neighbors has been working in 198 community development sites and 40 countries around the world.
East Asia Regional Coordination Office (RCO), representing the East Asia region, discusses issues and collects opinions from 08 current member countries - Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. RCO’s functions include but are not limited to: coordination of planning activities within the region; supporting member countries for operation, activity management, and finance management; supporting fundraising and resource mobilization.

2. MAIN DUTIES

BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Public Relations (PR) Officer will manage GNI communication channels at the regional level, simultaneously in charge of developing and conducting PR plans and activities for RCO and coordinating with Regional Assistant Manager and Regional Fundraising Officer for the general brand identity and fundraising strategy of GNI within the East Asia region.
DETAILS         
  • Design, plan, and execute integrated PR and communication strategies for RCO to strengthen GNI brand identity at the regional level;
  • Drive communication projects across Field Countries of East Asia;
  • Design communication publications of GNI at the regional level;
  • Establish, manage and maintain communication channels of GNI at the regional level;
  • Coordinate with Regional Assistant Manager and Regional Fundraising Officer to promote fundraising activities;
  • Implement other related tasks assigned by Regional Coordinator and Regional Assistant Manager.

3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education
  • Sophomore to Senior year students/Freshly graduates with majors of communication, marketing, development, economics, sociology or other related fields, living and studying in Hanoi.
 
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of social activities and sustainable development goals;
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve arising problems;
  • Flexibility for events taking place in the evening or on the weekend;
  • Experience in the Marketing/Communication area is a plus.

  • Be flexible, responsible and innovative in work;
  • Good communication and management skills;
  • Ability to work independently as well as with the team;
  • Ability to make plans and manage the timeline of projects;
  • Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent English language skills in writing & speaking;
  • Good skills in computer use;
  • Good design and video editing skills are a plus.
Attitude
  • Sociable, responsive, committed to working with GNI for at least 06 months;
  • Accountable and transparent.
