MASSEI is currently seeking applicants for researcher(s) as below:

• Location: Hanoi
• Type: Full-time

1. Senior Researcher

Job description

• To develop research ideas, concept notes, research proposals, and designs for socio-economic studies and consulting projects;
• To manage, coordinate, and participate in the implementation of research and consulting projects, including the design of study protocols, data collection, analysis, report writing, and dissemination of results;
• To collaborate with other team members and communicate with relevant stakeholders, such as clients, partners, and collaborators, to ensure projects are completed on time and with the highest quality;
• To produce research reports;
• To manage and expand the network of experts;
• Other tasks are assigned when necessary.

Qualifications

• Hold a Master's Degree in Economics and related fields. A Ph.D. in Economics and other related disciplines is a plus.
• Proficient in the implementation of socio-economic research projects.
• Strong analytical skills and leadership;
• Excellent command of English and Vietnamese;
• Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently;
• Willingness to travel for fieldwork.

2. Research Assistant/Junior Researcher

Job description:

• To assist researchers in drafting proposals and designing socioeconomic research and consulting projects;
• To conduct and assist senior researchers in conducting research and consulting projects, including data gathering, data analysis, report writing, and dissemination;
• To work with other team members and aid researchers in communicating with project stakeholders, such as clients, partners, and collaborators;
• Other tasks are assigned when necessary.

Qualifications

• Have Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Development Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, and other related fields.
• Excellent command of Vietnamese;
• Good at academic writing skills;
• Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently
