VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT HANOI-2022-59 (RA-T)

POSITION: Security Investigator (Trainee Level)
OPEN PERIOD: Feb 23 to Mar 09, 2023
WORK HOURS: Full-time, 40 hours/week
STARTING SALARY: FSN-7, US$13,827.00/year

BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
- Be responsible for serve as the Foreign Service National Investigator (FSNI)/Security Investigator for all security related activities associated with the construction of the Hanoi New Embassy Compound (NEC)
- Provide security and secretarial services in support of the project including background investigations, screening calls, file maintenance, etc
- Maintain liaison with local police, OBO contractors, Local Guard Force (LGF), security organizations and other security authorities.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: At least two years of university studies is required.
Experience: At least two years of security related experience of progressively responsible experience in investigative work with police or private security organization.
Languages: Good working knowledge in Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required (this will be tested).
Fluent in Speaking/Reading/Writing Vietnamese is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have
- Good computer skills in Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Excel.
- Ability to draft concise reports and letters of inquiry in English.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain contacts with officials of various agencies. Ability to conduct thorough interviews and evaluate honesty of candidate or employee.
- Hold a valid B2 driver’s license.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must have/Must be
- Good working knowledge of procedures and policies to conduct background investigations and determine suitability for employment and access to organization’s facilities.
- Good knowledge of host country legal system and institutions, criminal law, and U.S. Government security standards and regulation procedures.
- Good working knowledge of documentary sources of information, ability to maintain extensive contacts with officials of various local agencies, ability to exercise initiative and use research skills in obtaining information or evidence.
