Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) is the oldest political foundation in Germany. With an international network of more than 100 offices worldwide, FES contributes to fostering the core values of social democracy - freedom, solidarity and social justice. Moreover, FES offices throughout the world have been promoting sustainable development models for many decades. In 2010, FES established a new global working line focusing on climate justice and social-ecological-transformation.
Since 2015, FES Vietnam has served as a regional hub in the field of climate change, energy, and the environment for FES Climate Change and Energy Project in Asia. The project aims to fostering a social-ecological transformation in Asia by promoting international and domestic climate justice and exploring solutions for a just transition, especially in the energy sector.
Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Vietnam is looking for a short-term Media Consultant to support its Just Transition Forum in Asia 2022 this September.
‼️ SCOPE OF WORK
The contractor shall support the FES Climate and Energy Project in Asia in compiling the pre-event promotion and the compilation of the conference paper with the event highlights.
The contractor must fulfill the following tasks:
- Supporting and promoting the event in the media and public through CAN social media channels, professional networks and contacts
- Writing and sending out two press releases to media outlets and journalists. The first press release is to go out 2-3 weeks before the event. The second is to follow after the event, summarizing main points and giving quotes.
- Invite individual journalists who cover climate and energy matters in the Asia-Pacific to join the event (with the list of media contacts to be approved by FES Asia)
- Compiling media clipping after the event and an op-ed article
- Compilation of the conference report/paper. The report includes, but is not limited to the collection of the highlights of the conference, description of the process of the Forum, keynote speeches, key results, key statements and visual recordings of the panels with final agenda
‼️ HONORARIUM FEE, CONTRACT MODALITIES AND DURATION OF CONTRACT
Starting date of the contract is 30th June. It shall end no later than 10.10.2022
The contractor will work on a freelance basis. Therefore, it is his/her responsibility to take care of necessary social insurances (health insurance, pension funds, etc.).
The honorarium fee will be transferred after the completion of the assignment and upon the receival of the VAT invoice, no later than 10.10.2022.
