As per WV Vietnam strategy, micro finance is managed as one of its initiatives. In other word it is part of WV Vietnam and not as a separate entity like in other countries. .
Micro Finance program’s mission is to foster improvement in the quality of life among the clients in Vietnam by assisting the economically active poor and graduating the moderate and poorest of the poor entrepreneurial skills. This will be accomplished through a sustainable Micro Finance program that provides access to loans, insurance and savings within the Area Development Programs (ADPs). All aspects of the services that MF program delivers are built to lead the development of appropriate models, capacities and systems for Micro enterprise development in Vietnam, resulting in sustainable economic development as part of WVI transformational development ministry throughout ADP communities.
MF Program is structured in two management levels: central office in Hanoi and branch office at provincial and/ or regional level. All direct transactions with clients including clients screening, loan processing and loan collection are carried out at communities’ level through a network of local staff.
At present, MF Program is operating in 10 ADPs/ districts of 5 provinces.
- To support MF Program in product development and management as well as promoting the understanding of key stakeholders on MF Program through marketing and communication plans.
- To performs certain PnC related functions as designated by WVV PnC Director.
- To support PM in the Board related duties
- Act as a focal person on Social Performance Masurement (SPM).
- Develop SPM tool including House hold survey for all clients (more than 14,000 clients in 9 branches), Child well being survey, clients satisfactory survey, market survey, Microfinance valuation survey, competitor survey/assessment, clients turnover survey, ext…
- Conduct above survey, analysis survey result and make Social performance reports such as: SPM report, SPI report, child well being report, MVC/poor/near poor clients report, competitor report, clients satisfactory report, clients turnover report, clients who link with World Vision Vietnam.
- Ensure the MVC ratio, poor and near poor clients ratio, female clients ratio, clients with children ratio, clients improve income ratio and other Social performance ratios are comply with Business Plan, Risk register and SPI
- Manage and Micro Finance Program information on Website of Vision Fund international.
- Develop plan and ensure the marketing implementation for opening new branches. Develop and provide marketing tool and ensure the effectiveness in new branches. Support Operation Manager and Branch Manager in marketing activites of new branches.
- Consultation and support is provided to the Operation Manager and the Branch Managers to implement marketing and client development strategy to achieve targets of branches and MF Program.
- Marketing need assessment and marketing budget is made for approval annually at the beginning of every fiscal year.
- Assistance is provided to develop and marketing tools customized to each branch and emerging needs.
- Organization of marketing events for clients, local partners
- Management of all communication materials and act as resource person to provide materials upon request
- Translation of periodical reports, client case stories branches to ADP and Donors
- Prepare proposal for fund raising including conduct/ hire consultant for market survey, finalize market survey report, work with Operation Manager for writing fund raising proposal.
- Follow up with fund raising proposal and respond donors.
- Review bi annual reports to Support Office (donnors) and respond to SO for every requirement/question
- Bachelor/ college degree, preferred in Foreign language, Sociology or Finance
- Understanding of Microfinance activities, small enterprises development or trends of business
- Ability to prepare plan and manage financial issues;
- Good verbal communication and marketing skills
- Fluently in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Power Point and Internet)
- Be committed to work with the poor and have customer service oriented mindset;
- Active, adaptable and having team spirit
- Assertive, creative, patient and being integrity
- Honest, enthusiastic and inquisitive
- Working experiences with community development projects, priority over experiences for managing and conducting MFU Program or increasing income activities, including business development services.
- Working experience in marketing, sales or financial service industry
