The develoPPP project, “Regenerative cocoa production to support livelihood development in Viet Nam” (ReCoPro), is jointly implemented by GIZ and Puratos Grand Place Vietnam (PGPV). The project aims at strengthening the adaptive capacity of small-scale cocoa famers regarding climate change and income generation while ensuring the anchoring of sustainable and environmental-friendly cocoa farming practices in local cocoa farmer communities. develoPPP is a funding programme of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It is aimed at companies that want to invest sustainably in a developing or emerging country and expand their local operations
The project is offering an internship opportunity with details below.
  • Job Title: Technical Intern
  • Station: 14 Thuy Khue street, Hanoi
  • Duration: 6 months, starting from 15 November 2023

Main activities:

The Intern will learn and practice to perform the specific tasks by supporting the project team in following activities:
Technical activities
  • Research, prepare presentations and translate project documents (EN, VN) such as letters, reports, plans, deliverables, etc.
  • Support with data verification and analysis in the framework of the project’s M&E system
  • Assist with the creation and distribution of communication products
  • Contribute to project reporting
  • Others if required.
Operational activities
  • Support the project team in planning and organising events, workshops and field trips
  • Assist in preparing and compiling contracts and procurement dossiers as well as translating the necessary documents as required
Requirements:
  • Vietnamese citizen, who is currently undertaking or completed the bachelor/ postgraduate studies within the last six months (upon commencement of the internship)
  • A master’s degree is an asset. The internship requires university enrolment or the finalisation of your degree no longer than six months ago upon commencement of the internship;
  • Very good oral and written communication skills in English and Vietnamese;
  • Very good communication skills;
  • Very good at operating Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel;
  • Data analysis skills are an advantage;
  • Experience with graphic design and innovative communication and visualisation tools is an asset;
  • Experience in PR and communication is an asset;
  • Experiences in an intercultural and multi-lingual context gained through internships and/or academic exchanges;
  • Highly motivated to learn and to contribute to a young and dynamic team of international and national staff with the aim to enhance climate politics in Viet Nam, and willing to take responsibility, work independently and efficiently.
Apart from a monthly internship allowance, the successful candidate will enjoy good learning environment and professional and dynamic working conditions.
