We are looking for a Technical Lead Counter Trafficking (SA2 Lead) for the USAID Counter Wildlife Trafficking Activity, based in Hanoi.

**This position is subject to project award, funding, and USAID approval**

Major Function:

Reporting to the project’s Chief of Party (COP), the Technical Lead Counter Trafficking is responsible for technical management and thought leadership of Key Objective 2 of the USAID Counter Wildlife Trafficking project. The position is responsible for assessing and overseeing appropriate capacity development programs to a range of agencies responsible for addressing wildlife crime at central and provincial levels, including Forest Protection Department (FPD), police, customs, environmental police, prosecutors and judiciary to ultimately increase detections, arrests, prosecutions, and convictions. The position will be responsible for determining approaches and level of effort to apply in CWT in different locations in relation to physical and online markers, border crossings, ports and airports.

Key requirements for the role:

Higher degree in conservation-related field, natural resource governance/law enforcement, environment crimes, policy administration, police and investigation study;

  • At least 10 years of applied working experience in law enforcement mechanisms relevant to the major duties listed above;
