YMCA Viet Nam is a non-governmental organization specializing in organizing volunteers to help the community
[VOLUNTEERS NEEDED]
YMCA would like to recruit interpreters for online classes at the age from 14 - 18 years old
Quantity: 7 volunteers + 2 admins
- Responsibilities of Interpreters:
_ Provide additional learning support to students where identified
_ Translate English into Vietnamese back and forth to ensure mutual understanding between Singaporean volunteer teachers and Vietnamese students
_ Monitor and support the social and emotional needs of students
_ Help maintain order in the classroom
_ Provide feedback to the classroom teacher on their methods of teaching and other relevant matters
- Requirements:
- Have a good command of spoken English
- Reliable, punctual, able to work as part of a team
- Commit to being free for all the classes
- Responsibilities of Admins:
_ Assist with translating handing out learning materials to Vietnamese students
_ Take and report the attendance of students to YMCA Vietnam and YMCA Singapore coordinator
_ Make announcements to parents and contact them if necessary
_ Assign students into breakout rooms base on list
- Requirements:
- Good command of English
- Reliable, punctual, able to work as part of a team
- Commit to being free for all the classes
- Know how to use Google Drive, Google Slides

- 14th Aug, Saturday, 7pm – 8:30pm

- 21st Aug, Saturday, 7pm – 8:30pm
- 25th Aug, Wednesday, 7pm – 8:30pm
- 28th Aug, Saturday, 7pm – 8:30pm
- 1st Sep, Wednesday, 7pm – 8:30pm
- 4th Sep, Saturday, 7pm – 8:30pm
- 8th Sep, Wednesday, 7pm – 8:30pm
- 11th Sep, Saturday, 7pm – 8:30pm
