Tổ chức Giáo dục, Khoa học và Văn hóa Liên Hiệp Quốc, viết tắt UNESCO là một trong những tổ chức chuyên môn lớn của Liên Hiệp Quốc, hoạt động với mục đích "thắt chặt sự hợp tác giữa các quốc gia về giáo dục, khoa học và văn hóa để đảm bảo sự tôn trọng công lý, luật pháp, nhân quyền và tự do cơ bản cho tất cả mọi người không phân biệt chủng tộc, nam nữ, ngôn ngữ, tôn giáo" (trích Công ước thành lập UNESCO).
I. OVERVIEW OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE POST
 
   Under the overall authority of the Head of UNESCO Ha Noi Office and the direct supervision of the National Project Associate (Education), the volunteer will assist in the management of online communications products and activities within the framework of the 2021 United Nations Free and Equals (UNFE). The assignments for the position will include:   - Assist in developing an effective communication strategy to ensure the efficiency of the UNFE’s social media outreach; - Help the National Project Associate set up and coordinate activities, including managing service providers and partners to produce communication materials and social media posts used in the UNFE campaign; - Support in monitoring activities of producing and distributing communication merchandise used in the UNFE offline event at the Viet Nam National University – University of Education (VNU-UEd); - Prepare a press release of the UNFE offline event at the VNU-UEd in English and Vietnamese; - Provide logistical support in implementing the offline event at the Viet Nam National University – the University of Education, including administrative works (creating a service contract between UNESCO and VNU-UEd following UNESCO financial procedures and other contracts under the UNFE framework); - Work with UNFE’s videography consultant to collect the event pictures and produce recap videos of the event; - Collect a survey result report, to be prepared by VNU-UEd, and social media insights regarding the campaign activities for the final activity report and evaluation; and - Undertake any other tasks, deemed appropriate by Head of Office and Education Programme Specialist.
Long Description
  • Duration: The duration of the assignment will be from August 2021 until December 2021.
  • Workplace: It is expected that the volunteer will sometimes work in the office of UNESCO, located in the Green One UN House in Ha Noi. Frequency of working in the office will be two or three days per week, but this will be consulted and decided later.
  • Nationality: This position is only for Vietnamese national.

III. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
 
- Bachelor or higher levels in Gender studies, Education, Social Sciences, International Development, and other related fields, specialization in education and gender issues is most desired. - Work experiences with LGBTIQ people and on the issues related to Sexual orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sexual characteristics (SOGIESC) are an asset. - Strong teamwork skills with good communication, shared understanding of and commitment to the work assignment - Highly organized and self-motivated - Good computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and related programmes - Committed to deadlines - Demonstrated personal sensitivity and commitment to the values and principles of equity, gender equality and diversity respect.   Languages - Excellent written and spoken Vietnamese - Very good written and spoken English
