About the organization
The Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC) is a member-based social enterprise organization that was founded in 2007. The VGBC currently helps promote the green building market, administers six LOTUS green building rating tools, provides benefits to its members, conducts research, manages a database of green construction products and service providers, and offers a variety of trainings on sustainability in the built environment.
The Training Coordinator is a key member of the VGBC team since capacity building is a critical function for scaling sustainability in the construction and property industries. This position is responsible for ensuring that VGBCs training program is productive across a wide range of stakeholders and education recipients are well supported.

Responsibilities
Training & Education
- Create (with assistance of other team members) and manage annual training plan
- Research prospective training recipients and communicate VGBC’s offerings
- Gain a basic knowledge of training topics to be able to communicate with training recipients
- Collaborate with the Events Manager on conducting both online and offline training events
- Universities - Help develop a university relations to support green building content delivery
- Coordinate private trainings with companies
- Manage speakers and presenters, including drafting lists of speakers for events, communicating with them, and supporting them with logistics as needed
- Collaborate with accounting department to ensure that training fees are efficiently processed
LOTUS AP relations
- Help the VGBC technical team recruit new LOTUS project certification assessors
- Maintain relations and regular communications with LOTUS Accredited Professionals certified by the VGBC
- Manage the Credential Maintenance Program (CMP) and remind LOTUS APs about renewal of their credentials
LOTUS AP exams
- Work with test provider and/or exam proctors and ensure adequate quality control of exam delivery
- Communicate and support LOTUS AP candidates
- Support payment processing by working collaboratively with the VGBC accounting department
- Other reasonable and related tasks that arise in the course of program development
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or another appropriate field.
- 3-5 years work experience in training management
- English and Vietnamese communication skills (written and spoken)
- Excellent professional communication skills
- Self-motivated, positive, and professional attitude
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Google Workspace
KPIs
- Training plan manage in a timely and effective manner
- Regular communications with stakeholders completed (LOTUS APs, partner companies, team members, event logistics companies, university partners, etc.)
- Effective processing of training fees (collaboratively with accounting team)
- Year on year growth of number of trainees
Job Details
- Full time, 40 hours per week
- Flex-time (weekly schedule can be adjusted to equal a total of 40 hours)
- May include both weekdays and weekends depending on event activities
- Weekly office schedule - minimum of 3 days (24 hours) office time. Meetings must be attended in person unless special permission is granted.
- Approximately 20% local travel (for events and meetings)
- Location: VGBC Office, located at 587 Lac Long Quan, Hanoi
Compensation
Salary is negotiable, and the VGBC is committed to paying a living wage
