Alina Vision (AV) is working to bring about a world in which no person will suffer needless blindness or visual impairment. Our surgery centers will deliver high-quality eye care for people of all income groups, actively reaching out to serve those excluded from mainstream healthcare systems. Alina Vision is headquartered in Singapore, and is owned by Australian international development organisation The Fred Hollows Foundation and listed multi-national pharmaceutical organisation ROHTO. Alina Eye Hospital Social Enterprise (AEHSE), Alina Vision’s first eye hospital, is situated in Ecopark (Hung Yen province) and is growing strongly.

About the Position

Reporting to the Hospital Administrator, the Training Coordinator is accountable for the management of training activities of the hospital and vision centre staff of AEHSE, thereby enabling the achievement of both Learning & Development and broader business targets. There are 4 core cadres of clinical staff, to which training programs will be delivered - surgical ophthalmologists, medical ophthalmologists, nurses, and optometrists – and this is the core focus. Notwithstanding this, non-clinical training may be required in the medium-term.

Responsibilities include:

Work with the AV Group and Vietnam leadership and technical teams to identify training needs, confirm training plans and priorities, and manage delivery to ensure L&D business targets are met
Develop training activities to ensure the hospital meets the Vietnam Ministry of Health's standard requirements
Arrange, manage, support and report on the delivery of L&D initiatives in the hospital and vision centres
Monitor and evaluate individual and organisational performance following training delivery, and work to address issues, new needs, and/or improve “returns”
Support manager in relationship management of key training partners
Utilise and manage associated technologies (including the LMS)
Coordinate / facilitate agreed involvement by external training institutes for training implementation

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS:

Fluent in English and Vietnamese (speaking, listening, reading, and writing)
2-3 years’ experience in a learning & development role
Experience in health-related training activities, e.g. arranging, conducting, monitoring, and/or evaluating training
