International Crisis Group is currently seeking a volunteer intern to assist the Video and Multimedia team for a period of six months. The voluntary internship would suit candidates with interests and experience in some combination of the following: video filming and editing, photography, creating multimedia content, developing online video strategies, website uploading, social media posting, international relations, conflict studies, communications.
Responsibilities:
- Help develop multimedia and video content for Crisis Group’s website and social media,
- Assist with editing the videos using primarily Adobe Premiere Pro and other tools such as Adobe After Effects and Adobe Audition;
- Assist during interview recordings with Crisis Group’s analysts;
- Assist with researching, writing and editing of scripts, storyboards and story synopsis;
- Update video content on Crisis Group’s website and social media;
- Engage professionally with social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter;
- Monitor developments in online media;
- Monitor success of online efforts using google analytics and other tools and
- Provide general support to the communications team.
Requirements:
- Video editing skills
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and other Adobe Creative Suite tools
- A degree in multimedia communications, video editing, web design, new media, journalism, and/or international relations, politics, conflict studies, with a keen interest in both fields;
- Passion for social media and its potential as an advocacy tool;
- Ability to create multimedia content for social media,
- English language skills at native-speaker level, other language an asset;
- Highly organised and able to pay close attention to detail; and
- Authorisation to work in Belgium
