BACKGROUND

Cowater is seeking to recruit highly qualified organisations or individuals to implement the refreshment of the website for the Aus4Equality Gender Responsive Equitable Agriculture and Tourism (GREAT) Program. GREAT is a flagship initiative of the Australian aid program. The program promotes women’s economic empowerment (WEE) in the ethnically diverse northwest region of Vietnam, through the integration of a market system development (MSD) approach. The primary beneficiaries are women living in the provinces of Son La and Lao Cai, while an overarching emphasis is placed on the inclusion of women from ethnic minority communities as these provinces are home to twelve and twenty-six ethnic groups respectively.

SUMMARY OF ASSIGNMENT

As the GREAT program has progressed into Phase II, the messages and objectives of the program have evolved. The following recommendations for the GREAT website have been made to reflect the program’s updated messaging and focus on sector-level impact and cross-cutting issues. It is intended that these changes will communicate the breadth and depth of the activities of GREAT and that these extend beyond partnerships with business to areas such as policy advocacy and influencing, sectoral changes and the progression of cross-cutting issues such as digital inclusion. The service provider will provide modifications to the website http://equality.aus4vietnam.org/ in both languages (English and Vietnamese) including the addition of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) functions and a restructure of the site as suggestedly mapped below, the detail of which will be discussed with the successful candidate. The successful candidate will be the one who demonstrates an understanding of GREAT and offers interesting and innovative ideas for how to improve our communications via the website.
