Consultant for Project Baseline Survey

Founded in the United Kingdom in 1972, ActionAid is an international federation, working with over 25 million people in more than 40 countries and territories for a world free from poverty and injustice. ActionAid's head office is in Johannesburg. ActionAid is the only large international development organisation with head office based in Africa, with offices in Asia and the Americas connecting ActionAid's work in Europe.

ActionAid started working in Vietnam since 1989, established its Representative Office in Hanoi in 1992. Since then, ActionAid Vietnam (AAV) has been focusing the work to end poverty and promote sustainable development in over 20 provinces in mountainous, remote, and difficult regions as well as poor urban areas across Vietnam. The organization is well recognized as one of the leading INGOs significantly contributed to the poverty reduction and community empowerment in Vietnam.

Aid for social protection program Foundation Vietnam (hereinafter referred as AFV) was established under the Law of the Social Republic of Vietnam according to the Decision No. 633/QD-BNV dated 11 April 2016. AFV is a national foundation whose aim is to fight poverty and promote development in Vietnam. AFV operates in the most remote areas of the country in the fields of education, women’s rights, disaster preparedness, climate change, and rights of people with disabilities.

Project “Engaging youth as global citizens in Vietnam” is funded by Reach Out to Asia (ROTA) and implemented by ActionAid Vietnam and Aid for social protection program Foundation Vietnam from 2021 to 2024. Project goal is that youth across the country will be active global citizens, and engaged participants in the implementation of environmentally focused SDGs in Vietnam.

The project is looking for a consultant to conduct the baseline survey for the project as detailed in TOR attached. (20220630-tor-rota-baseline-consultant)
