Independent Contractor for Health Project


JOB ANNOUCEMENT Samaritan’s Purse International Relief (SPIR) is a Christian nonprofit organization providing aid to hurting people around the world. With a 23 year history working in Vietnam, SPIR has developed strong relationships with partners to conduct projects in 4 sectors health, education, protection, and disaster preparedness and response. SPIR Vietnam’s projects are being implemented in Hanoi, Quang Nam, the central province of Vietnam and across the northern provinces of Lao Cai, Yen Bai and Lai Chau where the majority of people are from ethnic minority groups, often the most vulnerable or marginalized sections of the population. We are now seeking highly qualified candidate for the following position:   Position Title: Independent Contractor for Health Project Duty Station: The project villages and communes in Quang Nam Province Reports To: Health Project Manager   Job Summary: Implementing and monitoring the health project activities in the community in Quang Nam province.   Key Responsibilities:
  • Interview and collect information from beneficiaries.
  • Distribute Gift in kinds to beneficiaries. Keep track of the quantity and the distribution list.
  • Support with measuring and weighing children in the project area.
  • Monitor, support with communication activities and training course in the project area.
  • Preparing the logistics with SPIR staff before and during the trip.
  • Write and send trip report to Health Project Manager within 03 working days after each work trip.
  • Collect information from beneficiaries, ask for the beneficiaries’ permission for using the information for impact stories and write impact stories for the project.
  • Taking photos of project activities and beneficiaries and send to Health Project Manager together with the mentioned report.
  • Conduct other tasks that arise based on the project needs and at the request of the Health Project Manager.
  Service Duration: 03 months, from 15 September, 2020 to 15 December, 2020. Average 10 days/month.   Education/Experience Needed:
  • Graduated College or higher related to Medical, Pharmacy, Health Public, or related field.
  • Experienced in working with ethnic minorities.
  • Experience related to health sector.
  • Good communication, especially in public.
  • Have a good skills in using the Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Being able to work independently.
  • High level of integrity; diligence, progressive spirit, flexibility and good teamwork.
  Objectives of the works:
  • Preparing the logistic before trip with SPIR staff. Logistical support includes:
    • Receiving, sending and/or transporting supplies.
    • Arranging training room and preparing supplies for training.
    • Inventory and supply checking before and after each activity.
    • Preparing accommodations and transport for trainees.
    • Other logistical support as assigned.
  • Completing these tasks mentioned in Key Responsibilities.
  • Submit the trip report, the story, photos of activities, and project document/materials after the trip completed within 03 days.
  • Collecting and submit the information to Health Project Manager in accurate and on time.
