Investment Officer (Australian Consulate-General)


JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Australian Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City is seeking a self-motivated and well-organised candidate to fill a vacant Investment Officer position (Locally Engaged Staff – LE5). The exercise may be used to fill similar positions over the next 18 months from the date of advertisement.
Working for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Investment Officer position will play a key role in achieving the Southeast Asia Economic Strategy’s objective to increase Australian investment in Vietnam, as part of a cross-agency, geographically-dispersed team across DFAT, Austrade and Export Finance Australia (EFA). You may be required to undertake travel within and outside of Vietnam and undertake work outside of business hours.
Applicants should have experience and the ability to develop knowledge of Vietnamese Government policies and regulations relating to foreign investment and/or opportunities and the operating environment for foreign investors in Vietnam. High-level proficiency in English and Vietnamese are required.
The successful candidate will be offered a fixed term non-ongoing contract for three (3) years with a potential for renewal depending on funding. The full-time monthly gross salary ranges from VND 39,485,890 to VND 44,441,717. Refer to Applicant Information Pack.
