National Consultants to provide technical support for HPA and the National Malaria Programme in Vietnam: Assess the impact of Covid-19 on malaria high-risk populations and control systems.
Health Poverty Action (HPA) is an international NGO (UK Registered Charity Number 290535), founded in 1984, with its head office based in London, UK. HPA currently implements programmes in 15 countries throughout Africa, Asia and Latin America.
Health Poverty Action (HPA) is an international development organisation that has been working in Vietnam since 2016. HPA’s work in Vietnam commenced with the project Regional Artemisinin Initiative (RAI) under the Inter-Country Component (RAI-ICC), in the central highlands through a cross-border initiative during 2016-2017. With initial success in Vietnam, HPA continued to be supported by the Global Fund under the Regional Artemisinin Initiative 2 Elimination (RAI2E) through the “Malaria Elimination Realised through Community - focused Interventions (MERCI)” project during 2018-2020. In March, during the initial COVID-19 outbreak, the Global Fund allowed grant flexibilities to direct program activities toward COVID-19 prevention as well as mitigating the risks of COVID-19 on other health services working to control TB, HIV and Malaria.
HPA is a sub-recipient of the Global Fund COVID-19 Response Mechanism funding to:
- Continue to mitigate against the impact of COVID-19, and;
- Reinforce the national response to COIVD-19 in Vietnam.
HPA is currently seeking a group of two national consultants to provide technical support for HPA and the National Malaria Programme in Vietnam: Assess the impact of Covid-19 on malaria high-risk populations and control systems.
