We are looking for committed, result-driven candidate for the position of Senior Freshwater Officer, Inditex-Mekong Nature based Solution (NbS), based in Ho Chi Minh.

Major Function:

The Senior Freshwater Officer will be fully responsible for the implementation of projects’ activities in Tra Su Wetland Reserve, An Giang province; Dong Nai Nature and Culture Reverse, Dong Nai province and Dong Thap Muoi Ecological Protected Area, Tien Giang province. The position will ensure the effective development, rollout, implementation, learning and communicating and reporting of the projects. The position, as part of WWF’s Freshwater team, will be based in WWF office in Ho Chi Minh city and liaise closely with HNK-WfW Project Manager and reporting to the Inditex-Mekong NBS Manager.

Requirement:

• University degree in Forestry, Natural resources management, Environmental science, Technology or biology, Water conservation or related fields, a master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experiences in planning and implementation of GO and NGO’s projects.
• Experiences in working or liaison with GO and NGO bodies (e.g., ministries, protected areas, national parks), and working in multi-stakeholder settings.
• Good knowledge of nature-based solutions theory and application and freshwater conservation.
• Identifies and aligns with the core values of the WWF organization: Courage, Collaboration, Respect & Integrity.
• Adheres to WWF’s values, which are: Knowledgeable, Optimistic, Determined and Engaging.
