Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects working in 45 countries.

Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 5 provinces: Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa and Ho Chi Minh city. We focus on education, water & sanitation, and income generation sectors in different areas of Vietnam.

  • Job title: Sponsorship Services Officer (SS Officer)
  • Effective date: September, 2023
  • Location: Head Office, Hanoi
  • Type of contract: One-year labor contract
  • Reports to: Sponsorship Services Team Manager, General Director
  • Key working relationships:
    • Internal: Country Director, General Director, Managers/ Team Managers/ Officers in HO, Project Managers, Project Officers
    • External: GNI’s Donors, Partners, and Governmental Officials, INGOs, Communities.

Main Duties

Manage data and services of Quang Binh CDP, Ho Chi Minh CDP and Local Sponsorship

1. Data

  • GNK (Good Neighbors Korea) and Project link up managing;
  • To receive and check timely Gift Money & Letter, Re-turn file of APR (Annual Progress Report) and ACL (Annual Child Letter) list from GNK and deliver to CDP;
  • To check the report submitted from CDP on Gift Money, CIF (Child Information Form), APR and ACL and submit to SS team Manager for sending to GNK and GN Au (Good Neighbors Australia);
  • To check the drop out report from project and prepare the reasons list of drop-out and submit SS team Manager, GNK and GN Au;

2. Services

  • Management of activities including: Health-check, Annual gift, Home Visiting, Network volunteer, Vocational training and some extra-curricular activities at schools (if any);
  • Support Case Management in CDP and HO: To check reports submitted from the project and feedback on Home Visiting, supported Special Case, network volunteer in CDP and HO;
  • Person in charge (PIC) of Local Sponsorship in HO; PIC of Special project "Grown up together";

3. M&E of Project’s SS Activity

  • To study and check the feedback from project of the assigned CDP;
  • To visit projects for monitoring the evaluation the fields as it will be assigned;
  • To prepare report on the basis of scheduled achieved plan;
  • To follow the report with project for improving the SS activity;
  • To receive feedback from project and check with other SS team members then keep record properly;
  • To check the assigned reports from projects and deliver SS Team manager;
  • To check emails from project regularly, share with team and concern;

4. Specialization in SS fields

  • To keep record/filing properly letter, reports and documents;
  • To disburse notice and report timely to projects;
  • To develop guidelines for in-charged activities;
  • To work willingly for any particular assignment given by the management level.

Qualifications Required

Education: University degree in Education, Social work and other related fields.

Work experience

  • Minimum 1 year of a similar role
  • Able to work under high pressure and solve the arising problem.

Skills

  • Ability to work independently and with the team;
  • Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills;
  • Good English language skills in writing & speaking
  • Good skills in computer use

Attitude

  • Sociable and responsive
  • Accountable and transparent.
