World Vision International – Vietnam

About Us

World Vision started working in Vietnam with emergency relief assistance in 1988 and opened an office in Hanoi in 1990.

Since 1990, World Vision has implemented many relief, development and advocacy programmes, partnering with the Vietnamese government, other non-governmental organisations and communities. World Vision’s Area Development Programs (ADPs) and Grant Projects currently operate in 15 cities and provinces throughout Vietnam.

A total of 70,000 registered children are given assistance through child-sponsorship in Vietnam.

World Vision Vietnam has an annual income of 19 million US dollars (FY15) with funding from 13 support countries in Europe, Asia, the Americas and Australia. World Vision Vietnam employs over 400 staff, of which 99% are Vietnamese nationals. World Vision continues to be one of the largest non-governmental Organisations (NGO) in terms of program and project size and diversity of activities in Vietnam.
