RECRUITMENT FOR PROJECT OPERATION OFFICER

Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects working in 45 countries.

Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 4 provinces: Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh and Thanh Hoa. We focus on education, water & sanitation, income generation sectors in 6 different areas of Vietnam.

1. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Internal
    • Country Director, General Manager, Managers, PMs, Project Officers
  • External
    • GNI’s Donors, Partners, Governmental. Officials, INGOs, Communities.

2. MAIN DUTIES

  • Be in-charge of project activities in Child Education and protection sector
    • Cooperate with local partners, related team and division to make plan for project activities such as: conduct baseline survey; design program’s contents and activities, prepare project documents submitted for managing levels to approve;
    • Together with schools and Community Development Committees (CDC) to organize, implement and monitor activities related to education project;
    • Perform tasks of purchasing, advancing, payment for project activities;
    • Prepare data, compile reports and import data of child education and protection;
    • Coordinate works related to in-charge fields;
    • Take responsibility for quality of child education and protection programs.
  • Be in-charge of activities in water and sanitation sector
    • Be in-charge of activities of the project “Green light eco”;
    • Connect, cooperate, coordinate, implement, monitor and evaluate activities of the project “Green light eco”;
    • Carry out necessary purchase for the project, prepare proposal, cash advance and settlement of project activities;
    • Prepare data, report and import data of the project “Green light eco”;
    • Provide explanation for issues related to the project.
  • Implement assigned tasks upon request
    • Be involved in the process of developing Plan of Action (POA) in the in-charge fields;
    • Complete reports on time, accurately upon request of manager;
    • Regularly check and supervise progress of project, ensure project is completed on time;
    • Coordinate with staff of related divisions to complete the works in accordance with requirements of project;
    • Comply with law, organization’s rules and put effort to strengthen internal solidarity;
    • Propose ideas to improve project quality;
    • Implement other duties according to request of project manager.

3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education: University degree in Social Work, Education, Natural Resources or other majors of development issues

Work experience

  • Minimum 1 year of similar role
  • Able to work under high pressure.

Skills

  • Ability to work independently and work with the team;
  • Good English language skills in writing & speaking;
  • Plan-making and presentation skill;
  • Strong interpersonal and team work skills.

Attitude

  • Sociable, responsive
  • Committed working with GNI at least 2 years.
  • Enthusiastic in work
  • Truthful and accountable
